MARUKI Saifuku allows you to feel the history of a 100-year-old merchant house while ensuring a stress-free stay with modern comfort.
Four tatami rooms — three opening into one another on the ground floor and one upstairs — together with a living-dining kitchen, bathroom, washroom and toilet, and a wooden engawa veranda. About 199 m2, yours alone for the day. There is one bathroom and one toilet, and two washbasins. Sleeping, bathing and the toilet are all on the ground floor, so there is no need to use the stairs at night.
While preserving the charm of a century-old building, we have fully renovated all water facilities. Concerns often associated with traditional guesthouse stays—toilet, bath, sinks and kitchen—have all been modernized, so guests of all ages, including families with children, can settle in with peace of mind.
There is one bathroom (family-size tub with reheating), one toilet (with washlet bidet) and two washbasins. The whole house is yours, so they are for your group alone; with 6 guests or more, please allow a little extra time for everyone to bathe.
In the evening, your living room becomes a private cinema. A 100-inch screen and 4K projector deliver blockbuster films and live performances with breathtaking immersion. Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+ and other apps are installed; just connect to the Wi-Fi. Please note that Japanese terrestrial television is not available.
The spacious kitchen is equipped with cookware and tableware. Bring local ingredients to prepare your own meals, order takeout for a gathering, or host a dinner party—exclusive rental gives you complete freedom over your dining experience. Bringing in catering is free, and we charge nothing for it.
Nine futons are provided. Lay them out yourself in whichever of the four tatami rooms you like. Close the fusuma and each becomes a private room, so each family can take a room of their own. The house sleeps comfortably for up to 7 guests. Sleeping, bathing and the toilet are all on the ground floor, so there is no need to use the stairs at night.
